Computed Tomography Analysis of Patients with Functional Mitral Regurgitation Being Evaluated for Transcatheter Mitral Annuloplasty

Introduction: Mitral valve annuloplasty is a standard repair treatment for significant mitral regurgitation (MR). Although echocardiography provides the initial evaluation of MR mechanism and severity, computed tomography angiography (CTA) has a growing role, particularly in the evaluation of anatomical and functional characteristics of patients with secondary/functional MR being evaluated for MV annuloplasty. However, normative data for transcatheter mitral annuloplasty candidates remains limited.
