Diabetes In Older Adults - Time To Include Frailty As A Care Indicator

The recent publication of the Joint British Diabetes Societies for Inpatient Care (JBDS-IP) guideline, Inpatient Care of the Frail Older Adult with Diabetes in this journal, represents a milestone in how we view modern diabetes care approaches to our ageing inpatient population. It also is a timely but delayed recognition of frailty as an emerging high impact complication of diabetes.
