Multi-scenario Tsunami Hazard Analysis in the Lianyun District.

This paper carried out a tsunami hazard assessment on Lianyun District, which located in the Lianyun City, Jiangsu Province, the north coast of the Yellow Sea. According to the historical seismic events catalogue and analysis of the tectonic structure, the local, regional and distant tsunami sources that may produce dramatic potential tsunami threat to the evaluation area were given scientifically. Through the numerical calculation of tsunami hazard for the different extreme rupture tsunami scenarios, the impact of tsunami waves and flow on the assessment area was analyzed and the distribution of zoning of tsunami hazard was provided. The results of hazard assessment can supply decision-making support for the emergency management, urban planning and coastal fishery in the assessment area.
