摘要
The following position paper of the German Society of Angiology (DGA) and the German Cardiac Society (DGK) provides insights into the given requirements and standards for endovascular procedures of the carotid artery, the thoracic and abdominal aorta, the visceral arteries and peripheral vasculature. Due to the increasing incidence of peripheral arterial occlusive disease and the increasing complexity of the endovascular procedures, the given curriculum on interventional treatment of arterial diseases (ITaG) aims to harmonize quality standards, given the fact that various specialties are carrying out these procedures. The structure is a modular teaching concept. During the courses, participants will receive theoretical and practical training. Additionally, the training concept requires a dedicated minimum number of procedures and minimum time of training education and attendance of lectures. There are certified training centers for the qualification of participants.
