摘要
Painful diabetic neuropathy (PDN) affects approximately 9-11 million Americans.1-2 PDN pain can interfere with daily activities, cause psychosocial impairment, and reduce health-related quality of life (HRQoL).3 Unfortunately, conventional medical management (CMM), which includes pharmacotherapies, is ineffective for many PDN patients.2 Recently, high-frequency (10 kHz) spinal cord stimulation (SCS) has been shown to provide substantial pain relief for PDN,3 and here we report the associated benefits for multiple aspects of HRQoL.
