Abstract Women's health care needs are unique and so are their needs for unique medical interventions. Women of various demographics experience health disparities and many women's health problems have historically been under-researched. One possible approach to narrowing these disparities is to design technology-based interventions that: (a) allow for more accurate diagnosis of women's health problems, (b) allow women to communicate more effectively with their providers, and/or (c) allow for continuity of treatment. This scoping review is designed to evaluate what informatics interventions have been designed and tested for populations of women severe maternal mortality and their unique health issues.
