1. Capture scholar information through data mining technology.
2. After creating the academic homepage, scholars can modify their personal information independently.
3. Aminer adopts the method of manual annotation to collect and annotate the information of scholars.
How does AMiner author's research interest?
AMiner analyzes the development and changes of experts' research interests from the publication of papers. By counting the keywords of the scholars' papers published in different years, aminer uses time axis graphics to show the dynamic changes in the scholars' research field.
What is Relationship Network?
AMiner classifies all collaborators into two categories: teacher-student relationship and cooperative relationship, and displays them in the form of a map.
With the scholar as the center, each line represents the experts and scholars who have cooperated with the scholar. The length of the line reflects the tightness of cooperation. These cooperation refers to the cooperation of papers, patents and other research results stored in AMiner.
What is D-Core?
D-core is a new influence matric representing jointly the authority and collaborative attitude of an author as is extracted from the densestcitation graph he/she participates.
What is Co-Author?
Co-author is a relationship network diagram that AMiner extracts all academic collaborators with the scholar from the collected papers of the scholar. Through this network diagram, you can clearly see all other scholars who have cooperated with this scholar.
What do these indexs means on Author Statistics?
1.Citation:The number of citations of all publications by an expert.
2.Papers:The number of all publications by an expert.
3.H-index:An expert has index h if h of his or her N papers have at least h citations each, and the other (N − h) papers have at most h citations each.
4.Activity:People's activity is simply defined based on one's papers published in the last years.
5.Diversity:Generally, an expert's research may include several different research fields. Diversity is defined to quantitatively reflect the degree.
6.Sociability:The score of sociability is basically defined based on how many coauthors an expert has. In the next step, we will further consider the location, organization, nationality information, and research fields.
7.G-index:G-index is a derivative index of h-index, which is mainly proposed to make up for the defect that h-index can not respond well to highly cited papers. G-index is defined as: the largest paper order g with cumulative citations of at least G2 times after ranking according to the number of citations, that is, the cumulative number of citations corresponding to the (G + 1) th paper will be less than (G + 1) 2.

What is AI 2000?
AI 2000 is the list of the world's most influential scholars in artificial intelligence. It is evaluated by taking into account the citation rate of papers published by scholars in major AI summits and journals in the past 10 years. AI 2000 covers 21 fields and 46 sub fields of artificial intelligence. Through the evaluation of relevant data of 580000 scholars and 190000 papers, 8800 people were finally displayed. The AI 2000 list is updated at the end of each year.
How do we evaluate a conference on Conference Rank?
These metrics are our newly defined indexes that valued relatively different traits of ranking process. You are welcomed to choose whichever index you prefer and looking for the ranking outcome under this specific index.
1.H5 Index
H5-index is the largest number h such that h articles published in [the past 5 years] have at least h citations each.
2.H5 Median
h5-median is based on h5-index, but instead measures the median value of citations for the h number of citations.
3.TK5 Index
TK5 Index is defined to quantitively reflect the conference's standard by its top papers. As we can see by its definition, H5-index is easily influenced by the number of papers a conference/journal accept. To exclude this effect and evaluate a conference better, we introduced TK5-median where it takes the top 10 citation papers of a conference in the past 5 years and for each of the 10 papers, calculate its tk5-value by finding all papers that cited it and get an h-index.
4.Rising Index
Generally speaking, conference that always remain a highly active status should score better than conference that accept papers with a decreasing yearly citation number. Therefore, we define rising-index to quantitively evaluate the degree of uptrend for a specific conference. It takes the top 100 citation papers of a conference in the recent 5 years and filter out those with a decreasing yearly citation, then set the index as the h5 value of the filtered set.
5.Basic Research Creativity Index
For all papers in a conference in the most recent 5 years, we investigated on the organization of a paper's first author and divided them into groups. For all the organizations that are or part of academic institutions, we viewed them as belonging to the academic community, which more often focused on the basic research fields. Average of these papers' citation number is taken as Basic Research Creativity Index.
6.Applied Research Creativity Index
For all papers in a conference in the most recent 5 years, we researched on the organization of a paper's first author and divided them into groups. For all the organizations that are part of industrial institutions or companies, we viewed them as belonging to the industrial community, which more often focused on the applied research fields. Average of these papers' citation number is taken as Applied Research Creativity Index.
7.Note: These creativity indexes are representations of the current development status of basic research and applied research. Hence comparing them provides a new way of seeing different innovation aspects within a conference/journal. They are different to other metrics as they do not evaluate the conference/journal as a whole.
8.How do we get our Radar Map?
Among the 600 conferences and journals, we take the highest value under each of these indexes as the maximum edge of the radar map. Then, we set up the minimum to be slightly above zero, as shown in the graph below. All conferences and journals are drawn by their own values in proportion to the maximum as well as the minimum.
How do we evaluate a organization on Organization Rank?
The purpose of this ranking is to determine scientific impact of organizations from big data at AMiner, on Internet, and possible from other sources. Our primary goal is to rank academic organizations according to bibliometric data using various metrics.
1.Data Source
We use all papers published at thirty-nine CCF A Class conferences in recent ten years (2003-2013). For each paper, we extract organizations from the authors' affiliation information and also extract citation information from Google Scholar for each paper.
2.Metrics
We report the rank according to five metrics: paper number, first-authored paper number, scientific credit, citation number, AM-score. We distinguish different type of paper such as regular paper, short paper and poster. Basically, in this rank, we only consider long paper published at those conferences.
What is Topic?
The required papers are selected by AI and reviewed by industry scholars to provide you with a list of the most representative papers in a field.
What is the scopes on AI Conference?
AI conference covers the class a meetings in the catalogue of international academic conferences and journals recommended by CCF, and arranges the conference papers.
