Jorge Aguirre (S'93) received the B.Eng. and M.A.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering from Carleton University, Ottawa, ON, Canada, in 2000 and 2003, respectively, and is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering at Carleton University. His M.A.Sc. and Ph.D. research concerned distributed amplification in silicon substrates.
He has conducted research in conjunction with Nortel Networks, Ottawa, ON, Canada.
Mr. Aguirre has been the regional student representative for IEEE Canada, as well as a member of the Board of Directors for IEEE Canada. He currently sits on the IEEE Canada Student Activities Awards Committee.
