Bio
Stefania Sandoval received her Bachelor of Chemistry from the Universidad del Atlántico (Colombia, 2009) and subsequently was awarded with a fellowship of the Fundación Carolina for a MSc. degree in Inorganic and Molecular chemistry from the Universidad de Alcalá de Henares. After obtaining her Ph D. in Materials Science from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB, ICMAB, 2016) she was a Post-doctoral researcher in the group “Nanoengineering of carbon and inorganic materials”, leaded by Dr. G. Tobias, at the Institut de Ciència de Materials de Barcelona (ICMAB-CSIC) in the synthesis and modification of new inorganic nanomaterials for energy and biomedical applications. Afterwards, she joined the Nanocarbon group at the J. Heyrovsky Institute of Physical Chemistry, where is currently working in the synthesis and characterization of low dimensional systems for applications in the field of magnetism and energy.
